As you might have noticed, there's currently an action on dA where you can donate a subscription to someone, and get the same subscription for yourself for FREE (1, 3, 12 month).
So... if you plan/want/have to (re)new your subbie, then please do so before December 25 by donating it to the club and thus to all its members here! You'll make a lot of people happy, and it's a wonderful Christmas gift to us all here!
Note us if you did, so we can thank you with a little present

Also... every month extra subscription is very welcome now, regarding the new group system. A new club system with a lot of advantages, but quite expensive for a big club like our's. Remaining sub months keep valid, so if we get enough credit, we can start the discussion on changing or not later...

As a test, and mostly because I was quite bored, and couldn't sleep, I setup a chatroom for our club members. Also to see how it works (first time I enter there), and to see if it has some success.
One rule: KEEP IT DECENT, NICE, FRIENDLY, SUPPORTIVE !! If I find out it's not, I immediately remove this feature.
Let's use this to get to know each other a bit better, and to share and exchange useful tips/tricks about mountainshots photography... or just to have a nice chat...

I'm a keen hill walker and an amateur photographer. I decided to establish this club when I noticed that there is no active club devoted to the theme, yet there are some extraordinary hill & mountain related shots on dA. I hope that together we can make this a successful club with high standards and share our love for hills & mountains!

Well... as already announced by my dear friend Tuomas, founder of this club, I will try to be your new "father" here. And there's a lovely "mother" too for you, =Roji-Hachi (Rosanna)! So it will be a "perfect family".

I'm not a skilled Phd. Philosopher as your former mentor and guide here, but call me a "life philosopher". In love with nature, all aspects, and always thinking about ways to show its beauty, and so hopefully aware some more people about what our world today is destroying, and keeping from our children and next generations to witness.
One of these are MOUNTAINS. I'm from Antwerp, Belgium, the north of the country, so we don't have them here, everything flat flat flat. But with every chance I get, I go hiking. Mostly in France. Hiking for myself, sometimes organizing there walks in the mountains with others, encouraging people to photograph them, so they will always keep in memory these fantastic places, and share them with others.
For the club... after a bit disastrous experience (some know about it) in two other clubs, I want this to be a cozy place first, friends, sharing photography, but also tips/tricks, travel plans, whatever. As long as it's supporting each other.
I'm a quite nice old bummer skinny hairy hippie-punk teddybear gorilla most of time, and I hate rules and laws. I'm not a police officer. I'll try to be a guide. Just try to follow some basic rules here to make things run smooth. That's all. Mistakes are no crimes as some think. And you can always ask for help regarding anything. Together we will always find a way to make this club a nice place for everyone. Regardless background, race, colour of your eyes, size of your right big toe, religion, politics,... Everyone is welcome here as long as you show respect for all others too! So, let that be my first and maybe only rule/law...
Some more activities are setup now (contests,...) and more will come. Suggestions are always most welcome!

What about me?
I’m from Venezia (Venice, Italy), so I’m more a girl of the sea than a girl of the mountains. But I really love walking and see mountains…from the lowland. Actually, I’m too lazy to really go up there! So helping to run this club is a good opportunity for me to admire the beauty of this wonderful nature phenomenon, which I don’t see very often in real.
It’s really an honour for me to be here, so thanks to Tuomas and Wim for the trust. I promise to do my best!
